That is, now official figures will also be available about how many people of which caste are there in the country. The government has said that once the population is known according to caste, the government will be able to implement the schemes better.

After the caste census , caste certificate will become even more important in the country. Now it will be needed not only for government jobs but also for census. If you have not got your caste certificate made till now, then you can apply for it online. Let us tell you what will be its process.

Apply for caste certificate online like this

If you want to apply online for your caste certificate, then you will have to visit your state’s website for this. For example, if you live in Delhi, then for this you will have to visit the website edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in . If you live in Madhya Pradesh, then you will have to visit mpedistrict.gov.in . Similarly, people of Uttar Pradesh can apply by visiting edistrict.up.gov.in . Apart from these states, if you are from any other state, then you can search that state’s website online on Google.

This process has to be followed

Whichever state you are from, after visiting that state’s website you will have to click on ‘New User Registration’. After this you will have to register yourself there. For this you will have to enter information. Which will have all the details like your name, mobile number, email ID, Aadhaar number and your address. After this, an OTP will come on your mobile number, you will have to verify it by entering the OTP.

When your ID is created, you can login to the portal with your ID and password and open the application form by clicking on caste certificate. You will have to fill in the complete information in it. In which you will have to enter your name, parents’ name, date of birth address, religion caste and the reason for which you want to get the caste certificate.

These documents will be needed

To apply for caste certificate, you will have to submit some documents. These include Aadhar card, ration card as address proof, electricity bill. If you already have a caste certificate or your father has one in your family, then you will have to submit it. Along with this, you will also have to keep a passport size photo and school certificate or birth certificate with you.

You can download it online

When you have successfully submitted the application, you will get an acknowledgement slip. In which the application number will also be written. With which you can check the status of the application. Your caste certificate is ready within two weeks of application. After this, you can go to your state’s website and login and download it.
