Contract Employees Transfer: There is good news for the contract employees of Madhya Pradesh. Now they can be transferred. For this, the employee officer will have to terminate the agreement of his current transfer place. Rules have also been fixed for this. As per the new rule, a new agreement will have to be made for the place where he wants a new posting.
Let us tell you that the contract employees in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department have been given relief for the transfer to be done till 30 May. This system has been implemented on 23 May. The process of joining from one place to another has been named as transfer. Let us tell you that more than two and a half lakh contract workers are working in Madhya Pradesh too.
Although the policy has been implemented in the Panchayat Department, the transfer policy will soon be implemented in other departments. Contract employees appointed for different schemes in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department are kept for work at a specific place. If there is a change in the nature of the scheme, the service of the contract employees can be terminated at any time.

Conditions have also been set for the transfer of employees. Under the new conditions
- Employees will have to terminate the agreement before changing their posting.
- New contract work will be assigned to them by the appointee at the new work place.
- Once transferred, no changes can be made for 5 years.
- A copy of the agreement will be sent to the National Office of the concerned scheme and programme.
- At the same time, the employees will have to be relieved from work within two weeks of the transfer order.
- It will be mandatory to complete the process of new contract agreement within a week at the new location.
- Leave benefits including travel and other allowances will not be available at the new workplace.
Policy laid down
As per the policy issued by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department, the policy for transfer of contract employees within the district has been set. Under this, the change in location within the district can be done by the Collector with the approval of the Minister in charge within 30 days. The order will be issued by the Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat. 10% of the total number of contract employees can be transferred.

Rules have also been set for inter-district transfer. Under which these transfers will be done only on application on personal will. Widows, divorcees, women and married women will be sent to such districts where their in-laws, husband and residence or their own family resides. The applicants will be able to avail this transfer in case of serious illness of themselves or their dependents.
