Centre for Cultural Resources & Training (CCRT)is organising a 4 days’ cultural competition titled ‘VIRASAT – Kamaladevi’ to honour the memory ofSmt. Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, Founder and First Chairperson of CCRT from March twenty fourth to twenty seventh, 2023, in CCRT Campus Dwarka, New Delhi.

According toShri Rishi Vashist Director CCRT, “VIRASAT is a tribute to our founder Smt. Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay. She was an inspiration and CCRT carries ahead her legacy by means of this competition.   • – Day 2, Saturday, March twenty fifth, 2023, “Ek Inspector Se Mulaqat” conceptualised and directed by Shri Sharad Sharma of Abhinav Rangmandal, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
  • – Day 3, Sunday, March twenty sixth, 2023will see the staging of ‘Sardar’ directed by Shri Ramji Bali, Theatre Wala Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and ‘Sandhya Chhaya’ directed by Shri Sudesh Sharma, Theatre for Theatre, Chandigarh.
  • – Day 4, Monday, March twenty seventh, 2023will showcase two small performs by Nagpur based mostly theatre group – ‘Chidiya, Chhilke aur Sahgal’ and ‘Bhatki Gazal’- each directed by Dr Vinod Narayan Indurkar, National Art & Craft Creator Nagpur, Maharashtra.

Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Culture & External Affairs Smt Meenakshi Lekhiis the Chief Guest of “Siddhi Samaroh” (Valedictory)on Monday, March twenty seventh, 2023from 11am to 1pm at CCRT’s Bharatmuni Natyagriha. She shall beinaugurating an exhibition of 30 work of girl freedom fightersand unveiling the statue ofSmt. Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay in CCRT Campus. A Cultural Presentation shall be made by CCRT’s scholarship holders and youngsters of Interpretation Centres from Varanasi and Amrit Camps, Udaipur throughout the competition. A Ramp Walk by 35 girls artists sporting their very own hand painted Sarees throughout the Art Camp shall be an added attraction.

The Ninth Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay Memorial Lectureshall be delivered in the night by Prof Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Vice Chancellor, Central Sanskrit University, Delhi on “Kala, Sanskriti Evam Sanskrit.” There shall be an tackle to the viewers by eminent personalities comparable to Dr Shripad Bhalchandra Joshi, senior Marathi poet and author of the play and Dr Sachchidanand Joshi Member Secretary, IGNCA.
