Boeing 737 Max 9: Jets to remain grounded amid ongoing safety inspections

The US aviation regulator on Sunday (January 7, 2024) mentioned 171 Boeing 737 Max 9 planes will remain grounded till it’s glad with the safety of the flights.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is at present inspecting the jets after part of an Alaska Airlines aircraft’s fuselage fell off on Friday (January 5, 2024), triggering panic mid-air.

The FAA mentioned its first precedence was “retaining the flying public secure”, reported BBC.

“We have grounded the affected airplanes, and they’re going to remain grounded till the FAA is glad that they’re secure,” the FAA mentioned in an announcement as quoted by the British media.

Thousands of passengers discovered their flights have been cancelled after main US airways grounded dozes of jets following the mid-air incident.
