Actress Pranitha Subhash condemns Congress leader Sam Pitroda’s racist comment

Sam Pitroda, Chairman of the Indian Overseas Congress, has sparked controversy along with his latest feedback in an interview with The Statesman. Talking about India’s numerous nature, he stated, individuals from the ‘east seem like the Chinese, individuals within the west seem like the Arabs, individuals within the north seem like, possibly, white and folks within the south seem like Africans’.

Pitroda’s racist comment drew sharp criticism from individuals on social media, together with actress Pranitha Subhash, recognized for her roles in Kannada movies. She responded on her X account to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s tweet, addressing Pitroda’s remarks, stating, “I’m a South Indian! And I look Indian #SamPitroda.”

Nirmala Sitharaman, who hails from Tamil Nadu, stated, “I’m from South India. I look Indian! My workforce has enthusiastic members from northeast India. They look Indian! My colleagues from west India look Indian! But, for the racist who’s the mentor of Rahul Gandhi, all of us look African, Chinese, Arab and white! Thanks for revealing your mindset and your perspective.”

Meanwhile, Subhash made her Bollywood debut with Hungama 2. Her final Hindi movie was Bhuj: The Pride of India, with Ajay Devgn.

On the work entrance, she was final seen in Malayalam movie, Thankamani, which was launched in March 2024.
