The Telecommunication Act 2023 goes to come into power from June 26. According to this notification, the provisions of sections 1, 2, 10 to 30, 42 to 44, 47, 50, 58, 61 and 62 of the Act will even come into power from June 26, 2024. With this, the federal government will be in a position to take management of telecommunication providers on the idea of public order, authorities safety and prevention of criminals.
Section 20 of the Telecommunications Act 2023:
- Under Section 20 of the Telecommunications Act 2023, which comes into power from June 26, the federal government will get the fitting to management telecom providers in an emergency.

- The Government could briefly take over telecommunications providers and networks from entities authorised below this part.
