Abhyas: India successfully conducts developmental trials of high-speed expendable aerial target
2 min readIndia’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has successfully accomplished six consecutive developmental trials of High Speed Expendable Aerial Target (HEAT) ‘Abhyas’ with improved booster configuration from the Integrated Test Range (ITR), Chandipur, Odisha.
“With this, Abhyas has successfully accomplished 10 developmental trials demonstrating the reliability of the system,” India’s Ministry of Defence mentioned in an announcement.
The trials had been carried out with improved Radar Cross Section, Visual and Infrared augmentation techniques. During the trials, varied mission aims protecting protected launch of booster, launcher clearance, and endurance efficiency had been successfully validated.
