2 min readThe India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert regarding heavy rains in many states. Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Mahe and Karaikal are going to receive heavy rainfall. A yellow alert has been issued regarding this.
The IMD said, ‘From November 3 to November 7, the minimum and maximum temperatures in eastern and northwestern India are likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. From November 3 to November 4, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Karaikal and Mahe will receive light to moderate rainfall. There is also a possibility of lightning accompanied by thunder.’

According to the Meteorological Department bulletin, heavy rains are expected at isolated places in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Kerala on Sunday. Apart from this, similar weather will be seen in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 5. Talking about the national capital Delhi, the sky is expected to be clear and foggy on Sunday. The temperature may remain between 17 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius. A layer of smog was seen in New Delhi this morning. According to CPCB, Delhi’s AQI is in the very poor category.
Weather is expected to remain warm in November as well
Let us tell you that this year the month of October in India has been the hottest since 1901. The average temperature was recorded 1.23 degrees Celsius above normal. The office has predicted the weather to remain hot in November as well, without giving any indication about the upcoming winter. IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mahapatra attributed the hot weather to the absence of western disturbances and easterly winds due to active low pressure systems in the Bay of Bengal. The average temperature in October was recorded at 26.92 degrees Celsius, which is the hottest temperature since 1901, while the normal temperature is 25.69 degrees Celsius.
