Third-Gen Honda Amaze clear images leaked ahead of launch
2 min readHonda is preparing to launch the highly anticipated third generation of the Amaze compact sedan in India. With the official release date set for December 4, the new Amaze has been spotted in its final production form, revealing clear images and detailed views of its design. A recent video, courtesy of Car Holic 14 on YouTube, shows the car without camouflage, highlighting its updated exterior and interior features.
Exterior Design
The third-gen Amaze, designed at Honda’s R&D Asia Pacific centre in Thailand, showcases significant styling updates. The front fascia has been completely redesigned, featuring a gloss-black honeycomb mesh grille with the prominent ‘Big H’ logo in the centre, reminiscent of the Honda Elevate. This new grille is accentuated by a thick chrome trim and flanked by new dual-LED projector headlamps.
The Amaze is shown in a striking Obsidian Blue Pearl shade, borrowed from its larger sibling, the Honda City. The side profile reveals a shift from the slightly boxy silhouette of the outgoing model to a more curved and refined look. The distinct shoulder line has been retained, and the multi-spoke alloy wheels add a fresh touch. The rear end mirrors the City, with similar taillamps, a boot lid spoiler, and a bumper design.
Interior Design
Inside, the third-gen Amaze features a completely redesigned dashboard layout with a dual-tone black and beige theme. The highlight is a floating touchscreen infotainment system. Other notable features include rectangular AC vents, a climate control panel with toggle switches, and a steering wheel design familiar to the Elevate.
Features and Safety
The new Amaze is expected to come with a host of features such as a semi-digital instrument console, wireless charging, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety features like ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and traction control are also anticipated.
Powertrain
Mechanically, the third-gen Amaze will continue to be powered by the 1.2-litre iVtec naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 89 bhp and 110 Nm of peak torque. This engine will be paired with either a five-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox, continuing the powertrain options from the current model.
With these updates, the third-gen Honda Amaze aims to offer a blend of style, comfort, and performance, making it a compelling choice in the compact sedan segment.
