Under the National Food Security Act, the Government of India provides ration to such people at a very low price. For this, ration cards are issued to the people. On the basis of which ration is distributed.

But the Government of India has set some rules for this. Ration cards are not issued to all people. Ration cards are issued only to those people who fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the government.

Ration card not only provides ration at a low price, but also benefits of many other schemes run by the Government of India and the state government. But in many states, there are still many people who have not been able to get ration cards despite being eligible.

Family card scheme has been started for those people in Uttar Pradesh who do not have ration card. By using family card, people will be able to avail the benefits of all the government schemes being run in the state.

Let us tell you that the Uttar Pradesh government will issue family cards only to those people who do not have ration cards. People who already have ration cards and are taking advantage of government schemes will not be issued family cards.

In Uttar Pradesh, Assistant Development Officer Panchayat and Gram Secretaries have been given the responsibility by the government to make family cards for those people in rural areas who do not have ration cards. Please note that family cards can be made using Aadhaar card.
