Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has launched the all-new 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 48 lakh (ex-showroom). This ninth-generation model arrives with significant updates in design, interior features, and technology, making it a standout in its segment.

Key Highlights:

Unique Market Position: The 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid currently has no direct competitors in India. The Skoda Superb, a full import, is priced Rs. 6 lakh higher.

Global Debut and Importance: Initially unveiled globally in November 2023, the revamped Camry made its Southeast Asian premiere in Singapore in August. India continues to be a vital market for this premium hybrid sedan, showcasing Toyota’s strategic focus on the region. The new model is Rs. 1.8 lakh more expensive than its predecessor.

Dimensions and Practicality: The Camry measures 4,920 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,455 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,825 mm. It also boasts a spacious 500-litre boot, enhancing its practicality for both daily use and long journeys.

Exterior Enhancements: The updated exterior features a bolder front fascia with sharper LED headlamps and distinctive C-shaped LED daytime running lights. The rear also sports matching C-shaped LED tail lamps. Additional updates include reprofiled front and rear bumpers, revamped air intakes, and striking 18-inch alloy wheels.

Power and Performance: The new Camry is powered by a 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine paired with an electric motor. The electric motor delivers 134 hp and 208 Nm of torque, while the petrol engine produces 185 hp at 6,000 rpm and 221 Nm of torque between 3,200 and 5,200 rpm. Combined, the hybrid system generates a total output of 230 hp, channeled to the front wheels via an e-CVT transmission. The fifth-gen engine is more powerful and 30% more economical.

Interior and Features:

Infotainment and Audio: A 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The nine-speaker JBL audio setup offers an immersive listening experience.

Comfort and Luxury: The cabin features triple-zone automatic climate control, powered front seats upholstered in premium leather, a seven-inch digital console, and a ten-inch HUD. Additional amenities include a digital key, Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with ADAS, nine airbags, and a 360-degree camera.

The 2025 Toyota Camry Hybrid sets a new standard in its class with these extensive upgrades, offering a blend of performance, luxury, and advanced technology.
