Ola Electric to open 4,000 new outlets by Christmas to drive EV adoption across India

2 min read

Ola Electric is set to expand its footprint across India, aiming to open 4,000 new outlets, including 3,200 with service centers, by December 25. This ambitious move is part of the company’s “Savings Wala Scooter” initiative, which seeks to make electric vehicles (EVs) more accessible to every Indian household.

As part of the initiative, Ola Electric will expand its direct-to-consumer (D2C) network to offer affordable and sustainable mobility solutions, while also providing critical sales and after-sales support. These new stores will be located in metros, as well as Tier-2 and Tier-3 towns, making EVs available to a wider range of consumers. The initiative is also expected to address rising petrol prices and the high costs of traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, helping more Indians transition to electric mobility.

The “Savings Wala Scooter” campaign is a key element of Ola Electric’s strategy to drive EV adoption and revolutionize the transportation landscape in India. With a focus on affordable, high-quality products, Ola aims to introduce its range of scooters, including the new Gig and S1 Z models, starting at Rs.39,999. These options are tailored for urban, semi-urban, and rural markets, and are designed to meet the needs of both personal and commercial use.

This nationwide expansion is supported by Ola Electric’s advanced manufacturing capabilities, including its Ola Futurefactory in Tamil Nadu and its Battery Innovation Centre in Bengaluru. Ola’s R&D efforts span India, the UK, and the US, aiming to develop cutting-edge EV products and technology.

With the addition of 4,000 outlets, Ola Electric is reinforcing its leadership in the Indian EV market and strengthening its “End ICE Age” movement. This growth supports the company’s broader mission to provide affordable, sustainable, and reliable transportation for all.
