2 min readHyundai has started bookings for the new Creta Electric SUV, which has been eagerly awaited. The electric version of the popular Hyundai Creta is expected to launch at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2025. To book the Creta Electric, a deposit of Rs. 25,000 is required.
The Creta Electric will come with a 51.4 kWh battery, giving it a certified range of 473 km. In normal driving conditions, the range is expected to be around 392 km. A smaller 42 kWh battery version will offer a range of 390 km on a full charge.
With DC fast charging, the Creta Electric can charge up to 80% in just 58 minutes. If you use a home charger, it will take about 4 hours to fully charge the car with an 11 kW Smart Connected Wall Box charger.
The exact power and torque details are yet to be released, but the Creta Electric can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. It will also have three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports.
The Creta Electric will share many features with the regular Creta, but with added upgrades. It will have a leatherette dashboard and a dual-screen setup for the infotainment system and instrument cluster. The car will also support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the steering wheel will have a new dual-spoke design.
Additional features include an electric panoramic sunroof, a new gear selector, Level-2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera for better visibility, and a digital key system.
