Honda CB650R E-Clutch launched in India at ₹9.60 Lakh

Honda has rolled out the new CB650R E-Clutch in India, priced at ₹9.60 lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it ₹40,000 costlier than the standard CB650R. The highlight? Honda’s innovative E-Clutch , designed to reduce rider fatigue by making gear shifts smoother and easier during daily commutes.

At the heart of this system are servo motors integrated into a new casing. These motors assist with shifting gears and also automatically engage the clutch when the bike is stationary. For riders who prefer full manual control, the E-Clutch system can be turned off, letting them shift gears the traditional way.

Mechanically, the CB650R E-Clutch remains identical to its standard sibling. Power comes from a 649cc inline-four engine producing 94bhp and 62.3Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.

True to Honda’s Neo-Retro design philosophy, the bike features an oval LED headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, and a sporty upswept tail section. The distinctive four exhaust headers merging into a single muffler add to its aggressive look.

Underneath, a steel frame supports the structure, suspended by an upside-down (USD) fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by dual front discs and a single rear disc.

Bookings for the CB650R E-Clutch are now open, with deliveries expected to commence soon.
