Nissan Motor India achieves 99,000+ sales in FY 2024-25
Gurugram: Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has posted a remarkable performance in FY 2024-25, recording its highest single-year consolidated sales since FY 2017-18. With over 99,000 units sold, the company achieved a significant 35 per cent year-on-year growth. Central to this success was the continued popularity of the New Nissan Magnite B-SUV, which drove both domestic and export sales to new heights.
The New Nissan Magnite, launched in October 2024, was the top performer in the domestic market, contributing to over 28,000 units of the total sales. Meanwhile, the export business reached unprecedented levels, with over 71,000 units shipped to more than 65 international markets, as part of Nissan’s “One Car, One World” initiative. This global expansion positions India as a crucial manufacturing hub for Nissan. In addition to the positive sales results, Nissan outlined plans for future growth, including the introduction of an all-new 7-seater B-MPV in FY25 and a 5-seater C-SUV in FY26. The company also restructured its India operations, offloading its stake in the Chennai joint venture plant to its alliance partner. Despite these adjustments, Nissan emphasized its long-term commitment to the Indian market.
Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to expanding its dealer network and enhancing customer service, even amid a challenging automotive landscape. The company also announced a price hike for the New Nissan Magnite starting in April 2025, citing rising operational costs.
