TVS Motor Company and OOR Cabs sign MoU to deploy 500 e-3Ws in Tamil Nadu • EVreporter

TVS Motor Company, a manufacturer of two- and three-wheelers, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OOR Cabs Pvt. Ltd., a mobility service provider, to supply 500 TVS King EV MAX electric three-wheelers during the financial year 2025–26. The collaboration aims to support the adoption of electric mobility in Tamil Nadu.

As part of the initiative, OOR Cabs will begin deploying the vehicles in Trichy and plans to expand operations to Madurai and Coimbatore. This integration of electric vehicles into the OOR Cabs fleet aligns with both companies’ plans to transition to alternative energy sources for transportation.

The TVS King EV MAX has a reported range of 179 km, Bluetooth connectivity via TVS SmartXonnect™, a fast charging option, and a design focused on driver and passenger requirements. The vehicles provided to OOR Cabs include additions such as on-board drinking water facilities for passengers, thermal insulation on the roof, and mobile charging ports.

The deployment will be phased, with 20–30 vehicles expected to be added monthly. OOR Cabs intends to include both men and women as driver-partners. This plan is aligned with Tamil Nadu’s broader clean mobility objectives.

At the event marking the beginning of this collaboration, the first batch of 10 vehicles was delivered to customers in Trichy. An additional 10 units are expected to be delivered in June 2025.
