Volt14 Solutions raises $1.87 million in Pre-Series A funding round • EVreporter

Volt14 Solutions has raised $1.87 million in a Pre-Series A funding round. The investment was led by Blume Ventures, with additional participation from Beyond Next Ventures Inc., Spectrum Impact, Supermorpheus, and Cocoon Capital. The company is now part of the Blume Fund IV portfolio.

Founded by materials scientist Animesh Kumar Jha, Volt14 is working on a silicon-majority anode material for lithium-ion batteries. The aims to increase energy density and maintain scalability and cost-efficiency for manufacturers.

This latest round brings Volt14’s total funding to $4.02 million. The company plans to use the capital to expand manufacturing capacity and strengthen its technical team.

“Over the past five years, our focused and resilient team has made outstanding progress in commercializing our high-performance silicon anode platform,” said Animesh. “Electrification is an irreversible trend, and we’re excited to help our partners unlock tangible product advantages through superior battery performance.”

Volt14’s board has added Dr. Puneet Gupta, who has experience in the silicon industry. Yifan Tang, former Tesla employee and CTO at SERES, has joined as an advisor.

Volt14 Solutions is working on battery material development as part of the broader shift toward clean energy and electric mobility.
