Dr. Narasimhulu Neelagaru rings opening bell at NYSE as HomeTrust Bancshares joins exchange

Atlanta, GA, March 7, 2025: Indian American entrepreneur and cardiologist Dr. Narasimhulu Neelagaru was among those present as HomeTrust Bancshares Inc. (NYSE: HTB) celebrated its transition to the New York Stock Exchange by ringing the opening bell on February 24, 2025. The milestone event marked a new chapter for the financial institution, which had previously traded on the NASDAQ Stock Market.

Dr. Neelagaru, a key figure in HomeTrust Bank’s journey, joined the board of directors in June 2023 following the bank’s merger with Quantum National Bank, which he founded in 1995. Under his leadership, Quantum Capital Corp. and its subsidiary, Quantum National Bank, established a strong foothold in the regional banking sector before integrating with HomeTrust in February 2023.

HomeTrust Bank President and CEO Hunter Westbrook, along with members of the board of directors and executive management team, attended the ceremony at the NYSE. Addressing the occasion, Westbrook emphasized the bank’s commitment to growth and excellence.
