Abu Dhabi, UAE – Responding to overwhelming demand, Etihad Airways has announced an increase in its upcoming service between Abu Dhabi and Atlanta, expanding from four times weekly to a daily flight. The route, which launches on July 2, will be the only direct connection between the UAE and Atlanta, enhancing travel convenience for passengers.
The flights will operate from Zayed International Airport (AUH) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) using the airline’s state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000. The aircraft features 44 Business Class seats and 327 Economy Class seats, promising a premium travel experience for passengers.
Jurriaan Stelder, Senior Vice President of Network and Alliances at Etihad Airways, emphasized the strong interest in the route since its announcement last November. “We’ve seen great interest from guests, and that’s why we have decided to step up to daily flights on this already very popular route,” he said.
The direct flights will also facilitate seamless one-stop connections for passengers traveling between Atlanta and key South Asian destinations, including Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Karachi. Additionally, travelers can take advantage of Etihad’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi, allowing them to complete immigration formalities before departure and arrive in the U.S. as domestic passengers.
Atlanta, known for its vibrant cultural scene and booming business sector, is a key addition to Etihad’s expanding global network. The move to daily service is part of the airline’s broader growth strategy, which includes 13 newly announced routes worldwide this year.
Tickets for the Abu Dhabi-Atlanta route are now on sale, with fares starting at AED 1,925 for Economy Class and AED 10,010 for Business Class.
