The Punjab government has given a gift to the employees before Diwali. Announcing this increase on Wednesday, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that this increased DA will be implemented from November 1. This will benefit more than 6.50 lakh employees and pensioners of the state.

According to an official statement issued by the government, the dearness allowance of the Punjab government has now increased from 38 percent to 42 percent. A spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that this move is a sign of the government’s commitment towards the employees and pensioners and giving priority to their welfare.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that these government employees and pensioners are an important part of the state administration and ensuring their welfare is the top priority of the government. He said that this increase will also bring financial relief to those families who are facing additional burden in the era of rising inflation.
