According to the notification of the state government, ‘Karnataka Sales Tax’ (KST) on petrol has been elevated from 25.92 p.c to 29.84 p.c and on diesel from 14.3 p.c to 18.4 p.c.

The notification issued by the Finance Department mentioned that these elevated charges will come into impact with rapid impact. In Bengaluru, petrol is now being bought at Rs 99.84 per liter, whereas diesel is being bought at Rs 85.93 per liter.
