Parents will be held responsible if children drive vehicles
. Most of the children who die in road accidents are under the age of 18. As per the rules, action will be taken by the concerned police and transport department against the parents and guardians who allow or encourage minor children to drive. According to this order, any parent will be held responsible if a child under the age of 18 is caught driving a vehicle.
3 years jail or 25 thousand rupees fine will be imposed.
Apart from this, the vehicle’s registration certificate will also be cancelled for one year. In such a situation, the minor will be able to get his driving license only after 25 years. Under the provisions of Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act-2019, legal action will be taken against the parents of minor children for allowing them to drive or encouraging them to drive. Under this, a sentence of three years and a fine of 25 thousand rupees will be imposed.
