Namo Bharat Train Services To Be Extended For Sunday, 3rd November On The Occasion Of Bhai Dooj

NCRTC has taken an important decision for the convenience of passengers on Bhaiya Dooj. Namo Bharat train services will be started before the regular time on Sunday, 3 November 2024 on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.

NCRTC has taken this decision in view of Bhai Dooj so that passengers can get convenience and comfort in travel. Namo Bharat train services on Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor will be operated from 6:00 am on Sunday instead of 8:00 am. It will continue till 10:00 pm. Usually Namo Bharat train operates from 6 am from Monday to Saturday and from 8 am on Sunday.

Depending on the projected number of passengers, the frequency of trains may also be increased if required, to ensure a seamless and comfortable travel experience for all. Each Namo Bharat train has a ladies coach for convenience, which is the second coach when travelling towards Meerut and the second-to-last coach in the direction of Delhi. Additionally, reserved seats for women are available in other coaches for convenience and accessibility. All Namo Bharat trains and stations are universally accessible, ensuring a seamless and inclusive travel experience for passengers with different needs.

One year completed

Namo Bharat trains on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor have recently completed one year of operations. More than 40 lakh passengers have enjoyed the Namo Bharat train service so far on the 42 km long section connecting nine stations between Sahibabad to Meerut South. This corridor is soon going to be extended to 54 km with the addition of Sahibabad to New Ashok Nagar section. Currently, trial runs are on for this. This extension includes major stations like Anand Vihar and New Ashok Nagar. This will further strengthen connectivity and provide more convenient transit options to passengers traveling in NCR.
