Maharashtra Traffic Police has issued a rule of challan that strict fines will be imposed on the pillion rider (the person sitting behind the driver) for not wearing a helmet. According to the rule, if both the people sitting on the bike do not wear helmets, then both of them will be fined Rs 1,000 each. This rule will be applicable to everyone from children to adults.
Relief will be available for one hour only
According to the challan rules in Maharashtra, a fine of one thousand rupees is being imposed on those without helmets. This fine will be imposed on both the two-wheeler rider and the pillion rider. Once the challan is issued, people will get relief for only one hour. After that, if the mistake is found again, then a fine will be imposed once again.
