New Vande Bharat Express: Railways has introduced the longest Vande Bharat Express train between this route. check fare & Route

As the festive season of Diwali and Chhath Puja approaches, Indian Railways is all set to launch India’s longest Vande Bharat Express train between Delhi and Patna. The train will start on October 30.

Covering a distance of about 994 km, it will be India’s longest Vande Bharat Express, which will provide passengers with the option of fast, comfortable and luxurious travel across several states.

The Vande Bharat Express train, which covers the longest distance from Delhi to Patna, will complete the journey in 11 hours 35 minutes. Other trains like Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express take 11 hours 55 minutes, while New Delhi-Rajendra Nagar Tejas Rajdhani completes the same route in 11 hours 30 minutes. Passengers should note that sleeper facility will not be available in this rail service, as it will operate as a seated train. The Railway Ministry has confirmed that the special train will run on a trial basis, stopping at Ara, Buxar, DDU, Prayagraj and Kanpur.

Train Timetable

Vande Bharat train will run from New Delhi to Patna on 30 October, 1 November, 3 November and 6 November. On return, this train will run on 31 October, 2 November, 4 November and 7 November. Train number 02252 New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special Express train will leave from New Delhi at 8:25 am. It will reach Patna Junction at 8 pm via Kanpur Central, Prayagraj, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Buxar and Ara. On return, train number 02251 Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special Express will leave from Patna at 7:30 am and reach New Delhi at 7 pm.

The ticket price for Vande Bharat service has been kept at Rs 2,575 for AC chair car and Rs 4,655 for AC executive chair car. Interestingly, tea, breakfast and dinner are included free in the fare. With this new train, Indian Railways is planning to enhance travel convenience during the busiest time of the year, to ensure that passengers can celebrate festivals with ease.

The Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special train has the longest route of the Vande Bharat Express. As far as regular Vande Bharat Express is concerned, the longest route is of New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat. This was the country’s first Vande Bharat Express which was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 15, 2019. It covers 771 km from New Delhi to Varanasi in about 8 hours.

The New Delhi-Patna train has an even longer route. However, it has been run for a special purpose. Vande Bharat trains are currently being run on the route of Shatabdi and have only seating arrangements. Railways plans to start Sleeper Vande Bharat Express in this financial year.
