Many changes have been made so that the passengers coming to the station to catch the train do not face any problem in reaching the platform. To control the crowd, some roads and gates of New Delhi Railway Station have been closed and some have been diverted.

In view of the crowd of passengers going home on Diwali and Chhath, many changes have been made at New Delhi Railway Station. Giving information about the changes made regarding entry at the station, Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar said that to control the crowd and for the convenience of the passengers, arrangements have been made to give entry from gates according to the platform.
Separate entries will be given for reservation and general ticket passengers. According to the new rule, platform number 16 entry from the foot over bridge has been closed. Passengers with reservation tickets and passengers catching trains from platform number 16 will get entry only from gate numbers 7 and 10 from Ajmeri Gate side circulating area.

A separate gate has been reserved for unreserved passengers travelling on general tickets from New Delhi Railway Station. A green corridor has been created for them at the station. These passengers will be able to enter through Gate No. 12 via the green corridor from Ajmeri Gate.
Entry for platforms 1 to 15 will be available from here
If your train is arriving on any platform between platform 1 to 15, then you will get entry from gate number 8, 9 and 11. These passengers will not be able to enter from other gates. At the same time, direct entry from DMRC Metro Skywalk to Foot Over Bridge 2 at New Delhi Railway Station has been closed.
Passengers catching trains from New Delhi should take care of these things
If you are going to enter from Ajmeri Gate of New Delhi Railway Station, then keep some things in mind. For example, if you are going towards platform number 16 from the foot over bridge, then please note that this route has been closed. Those who have reservation tickets for platform number 16 will get entry only from gate number 7 and 10. Those with general tickets will get entry only from Gate number 12 from Green Park. Entry for platform 15 to 1 will be from gate number 8, 9 and 11.
Reached railway station on time
If you are going to the railway station to catch a train on Diwali or Chhath, it is better to take extra time with you. Considering the security check, luggage check and crowd at the railway, it is better to reach an hour before the train time. To control the crowd during the festive season, even platform tickets are closed so that the crowd can be controlled.
