School Closed: The cold wave continues in North India including Punjab. Earlier, the winter vacations in Punjab schools were till December 31. But now the winter vacations in schools have been extended.

It is worth mentioning that the holidays were earlier announced in Punjab schools till December 31. But now in view of the increasing cold, the holidays have been extended further. Now the holidays have been extended in Punjab schools from December 31 to January 7. Now the schools will open on January 8. This information has been given by Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains in a tweet.

ਮਾਣਯੋਗ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ-ਨਿਰਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਠੰਢ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ, ਏਡਿਡ , ਮਾਨਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ 7 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਤੱਕ ਛੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਸਾਰੇ ਸਕੂਲ 8 ਜਨਵਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਲਣਗੇ।

As per the directions of the Honorable Chief Minister, holidays are being observed in all government, aided, recognized and private schools of Punjab till January 7 due to cold weather. All schools will open on January 8.

A cold wave is prevailing in Punjab. Due to the severe cold, parents, teachers and students are in distress and due to this distress, the Punjab government has also taken a big decision regarding the holidays.
