Schools and internet shut down due to farmers’ march to Delhi
2 min readFarmers who have been protesting on the borders of Punjab and Haryana for the last 11 months will march towards Delhi today. Police security has been increased near Shambhu border in Ambala, Khanauri in Jind and Singhu in Sonipat.
The special thing is that the farmers have submitted a list of a group of 101 people to the administration and sought permission to move forward. The police have also put up barricades around the border and the borders have been sealed. Meanwhile, orders have been given to close schools and internet services in Ambala.

Internet service will remain suspended in the areas of villages Dangdehri, Lohgarh, Manakpur, Dadiana, Bari Ghel, Luharan, Kalu Majra, Devi Nagar, Saddopur, Sultanpur and Kakru falling within the limits of Ambala. Internet service will remain suspended from today till December 9. Orders have been issued by the state government.
On the other hand, after the farmers announced to march towards Delhi, heavy police vigil has been maintained at the Khuan Toll Plaza located in Dabwali, Sirsa and a heavy police force has been deployed here. Police have been deployed on the Dabwali-Sirsa road before entering Sirsa city. Farmers of Punjab can go to Delhi via Dabwali, Sirsa.
