SBI Latest FD Interest Rates: The country’s largest public sector bank, State Bank of India (SBI), has once again shocked its customers. Actually, SBI has once again reduced the interest on fixed deposits (FD).

The new rates have come into effect from May 16, 2025. The bank has cut FD rates by 20 basis points i.e. 0.20 percent for all tenures. SBI had also cut interest rates on April 15 last month.

After the reduction, SBI is offering interest between 3.30% and 6.70% per annum for common citizens. This reduction will be applicable on FDs of less than Rs 3 crore. Earlier, the bank was offering interest between 3.50% and 6.90% for tenures ranging from 7 days to 10 years.

SBI’s new interest rates for common people

SBI offers different FD interest rates based on the tenure of investment. Let’s know what are the new interest rates of SBI after this change?

  • 7 days to 45 days – 3.30 per cent
  • 46 days to 179 days – 5.30 per cent
  • 180 days to 210 days – 6.05 per cent
  • 211 days to less than 1 year – 6.30 per cent
  • 1 year to less than 2 years – 6.50 per cent
  • 2 years to less than 3 years – 6.70 per cent
  • 3 years to less than 5 years – 6.55 per cent
  • 5 years to 10 years – 6.30 per cent

Cut in Amrit Vrishti Scheme too

SBI has also cut the interest rate on its special FD scheme Amrit Vrishti by 0.20%. According to the bank’s website, the Amrit Vrishti scheme is for 444 days, in which interest rates for the general public have been reduced from 7.05% to 6.85%.
