The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain with thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds with speed of 40-60 kmph in Uttarakhand during May 5-11. According to the IMD, hailstorm is also likely at some places on May 6.

If you are planning to visit Uttarkashi district i.e. Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pithoragarh and Bageshwar districts these days, then it is advisable to postpone the plan for a few days.
