India-Pak War : After the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan and drone-missile attacks, security measures have been increased as a precaution in many states of the country.
Vigilance has been increased across the country after the attacks by Pakistan from across the border. Schools have been closed in some cities of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana. Leave of government employees has been cancelled. Know here what has been closed where.

What is closed and what is open – in which states will banks remain open?
1. Punjab
The state government has ordered the closure of all schools, colleges and universities for three days. The leaves of policemen in border areas Pathankot, Ferozepur, Fazilka, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran have been cancelled.
2. Delhi
Leave of all government employees has been cancelled. Security drills have been started at many places. Airport operations in the capital are normal, but security has been beefed up.
3. Rajasthan
Schools are closed in five districts of western Rajasthan. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has given instructions to cancel the leave of government employees with immediate effect.
4. Haryana
Schools are closed in Panchkula district. Leave of health department and police officials has also been cancelled.
5. West Bengal
Private schools in Kolkata and other parts have announced summer vacations from May 9. Banks are closed in the state today on account of Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti.
6. Jammu and Kashmir
State Education Minister Sakina Ittoo said all schools, colleges and universities will remain closed on Friday and Saturday.
7. Indian Aviation Ministry
24 airports in India have been temporarily closed. Delhi airport is operational, although some flights have been affected due to airspace changes and security reasons.
8. Banking Service – Will banks open in all states?
Apart from the routine set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), no special announcement has been made regarding the closure of banks today. Today, except West Bengal, banks will remain open in all other states of the country.
