Ration Card eKYC Update Rule Change News: E-KYC of ration card has now been made mandatory. If you do not get your e-KYC done by 15 February 2025, you will not get ration.

The Food and Supply Department of Uttar Pradesh has set the last date for ration card holders to complete this process as 15 February 2025. If e-KYC is not done, the facility of free ration will be stopped after 15 February 2025.

What is e-KYC?

E-KYC is a digital process in which the identity of a person is verified through Aadhaar card. This process is completed through biometric or OTP based verification, which ensures the identity of the user.

To complete the e-KYC of ration card, you have to use the Mera Ration 2.0 app. Follow the following steps to install and activate it:

How to complete Ration Card e-KYC

• Go to Google Play Store and search “Mera Ration 2.0” app.
• Install the app and enter mobile number
• followed by captcha code and submit to get OTP.
• OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
• Submit after entering the OTP.
• Now click on Manage Family Details option.
• Fill in the required information and complete e-KYC
• Tap on the Submit button.

The deadline for e-KYC of ration card may vary for different states. In this, Aadhaar card details and other information of family members can be taken. This process is necessary to prevent fraud and ensure the identification of eligible members.
