There is a good news for the students of Rajasthan who are suffering from the scorching sun and heat wave. The state government has announced summer holidays in all the government schools of the state.
This decision has been taken to give relief to the children from the scorching heat and keeping their health in mind, so that they can spend time comfortably with their family.

From when to when will schools remain closed?
-According to Rajasthan Educational Panchang 2024-25, schools will have summer vacations from May 17 to June 30.
-Schools will reopen from July 1, 2025.
-Just a day before the holidays, a parents-teachers meeting has been organized on May 16, in which the presence of students and parents will be mandatory.
Heat wave continues in Rajasthan
- Temperatures in several areas including Ganganagar have reached 45 degrees Celsius
- Dust storms are affecting Delhi-NCR
- According to the Meteorological Department, there is no hope of relief from heatwave for the next 4-5 days
- The heat is likely to increase further as the effect of western disturbance weakens

According to senior meteorologist Dr. Naresh Kumar, there is no possibility of relief from heat in North-West India at present. In such a situation, people have been advised that:
- Avoid going out in the afternoon
- Wear light and loose clothes
- drink plenty of water and keep your body hydrated
- Take special care of children and the elderly

Children eagerly wait for summer vacations. Now that the holidays have been announced, children as well as their parents have heaved a sigh of relief. Sending them to school in the scorching heat had become a challenge, but now they will be able to spend time comfortably at home.
