Patna Meteorological Center has predicted moderate rain with thunder, lightning, wind (wind speed up to 50-60 km per hour) in some parts of Gaya district in the next two to three hours.

How will the weather be in Bihar on May 18

Patna Meteorological Center said that the weather is likely to remain hot in Bihar on May 18. Heat wave warning has been issued in the northern and southern parts of Bihar. As the day progresses, a sharp increase in temperature will be seen. The maximum temperature can remain between 42 to 44 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 27 to 30 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature is continuously increasing due to the effect of westerly winds and weakening of western disturbance.

Possibility of rain in some districts

Patna Meteorological Center said that on Sunday, Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada and Patna will experience more heat. Apart from this, Siwan, Madhubani and Darbhanga may remain cloudy during the afternoon. There is also a possibility of light showers or thundershowers in some areas in the late evening, which will provide relief from the heat.

Heat wave alert in many districts

Patna Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert regarding heatwave in 24 districts. It has been advised to avoid going out between 12 noon to 4 pm. The Health Department has also advised citizens to drink adequate amount of water, keep the body covered and use shade or hat to protect from the sun.
