Onsurity Commits Over Inr 1 Crore To Launch India'S First TheatreLed Workplace Storytelling Ip, Office Drama

India, July 20: Onsurity revealed Office Drama, India’s pioneering theatre‑based workplace storytelling IP, backed by an investment surpassing ₹1 crore to shape it into a enduring cultural platform centred on the future of work. Going beyond a single‑day affair, the programme merges theatre, corporate dialogue and workplace insights, while providing independent theatre troupes with paid creative projects, health benefits and continual content generation.

The debut edition of Office Drama featured nine original plays drawn from contemporary workplace realities, performed for an audience exceeding 300 founders, HR leaders, CXOs, creators and media representatives in Bengaluru. Evaluated by noted actors Chandan Roy and Rajeev Mehta, the event highlighted the convergence of India’s startup scene and its independent theatre fraternity.

Distinct from typical brand‑centric events, Office Drama is structured as a perpetual creative platform. Each participating theatre troupe will partner with Onsurity for the upcoming nine months to craft original workplace‑themed narratives in films, short‑form videos and digital media, while also gaining paid creative engagements, health benefits and enduring collaborations.

In addition to judging the acts, Chandan Roy and Rajeev Mehta led mentoring workshops with the theatre groups, imparting knowledge on storytelling, performance and creativity, and exploring how these abilities can bolster communication, leadership and workplace culture. Touching on topics from burnout and AI to leadership and interpersonal dynamics at work, Onsurity intends to roll Office Drama out to startup centres nationwide, later extending to Tier II and Tier III cities.

Chandan Roy, said, “Every workplace harbours stories worth telling, and theatre uniquely brings those experiences to life, making them tangible and relatable. I’m thrilled to join an initiative that not only honours storytelling but also creates genuine prospects for theatre artists.”

Rajeev Mehta, said, “Theatre has always mirrored society, and workplaces constitute a major facet of our lives today. Office Drama offers a fresh perspective that invites people to view work through empathy, humour and candid dialogue, while granting theatre artists a broader stage.”

“Office Drama sprang from the idea that workplaces consist of stories, not merely systems and procedures. Our aim was to forge a stage where those experiences could be expressed through theatre, while also delivering tangible opportunities for India’s independent theatre community. This investment transcends a one‑off event—we are cultivating a lasting cultural asset that enriches workplace dialogue and nurtures creators along the way,” said Kulin Shah, Co‑Founder & COO, Onsurity.

“Conventional campaigns purchase attention, whereas cultural assets forge lasting memories. Office Drama signals our transition from campaign‑driven marketing to platform‑centric brand building. Each performance will be transformed into digital content over the ensuing months, turning this into a perennial storytelling platform rather than a fleeting activation,” said Sourav Samadder, Associate Director – Brand & Communications, Onsurity.

Office Drama will be assessed on brand impact, community reach, content output and business results, covering earned media, audience interaction, creator involvement and sustained ties with founders and business leaders. Via this effort, Onsurity seeks to establish one of India’s most unique cultural platforms dedicated to the future of work.
