(*1*)The Ministry of Civil Aviation has formally notified the New Drone Amendment 2023, eradicating the necessary passport requirement. Any government-issued id and tackle proof can be acceptable substitutes. This is a big impetus for Garuda Aerospace of their purpose to practice 100,000 Drone Pilots by 2025.
Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace, emphasised the importance of this alteration, stating, “The latest transfer by the Ministry of Civil Aviation waiving off the necessary requirement of a passport to apply for a drone pilot license is a welcome transfer. This will permit youth with any authorities issued proof of id and tackle to avail of this system and take advantage of know-how. Most of the aspirant Drone Pilots are from rural India and this clause was a significant hindrance for them. We would really like to thank Bharat Drone Association, National Drone Pilot Association & MOCA for the fixed efforts that has resulted on this improvement“
The purpose of this initiative aligns with the imaginative and prescient of Hon’ble Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur in making India the drone ability hub. Garuda Aerospace is the primary drone firm to obtain twin DGCA certifications for each Training and Manufacturing.
