  • Sonu Tyagi Advocates for Government Action on Mental Health and Spiritual Wellness

MUMBAI: Sonu Tyagi, the founder of Go Spiritual and Approach Entertainment, has issued an impassioned plea to the Indian government to bolster mental health support and spiritual wellness initiatives, emphasizing their pivotal role in curbing the rising tide of crime, healing broken relationships, and reducing suicides across the nation. Tyagi’s call is inspired by a chilling murder in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, which he dissects in his recent article, “A Tragic Tale of Love, Betrayal, and the Human Spirit” (published by Go Spiritual News Magazine), as a haunting example of spiritual and mental collapse.

In the article, Tyagi details the grim events of March 19, 2025, when Muskaan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla allegedly murdered her husband, Saurabh Rajput, a former merchant navy officer. After months of planning, the couple stabbed Saurabh, dismembered his body, and encased it in a cement-filled drum. Tyagi reflects, “This is not merely a crime—it’s a warning of what happens when the human soul loses its anchor. Spirituality and mental health are our shields against such darkness, and the government must prioritize them to uplift society and make this world a better place for all.”

Tyagi ties this tragedy to broader societal ills—hate crimes like communal violence that fracture communities, relationship betrayals like the Meerut case, and a suicide epidemic, with the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) reporting over 1.7 lakh cases in 2023, often fueled by despair and addiction. He warns, “Without inner peace, we see murders, suicides, and the heartbreak of a child-like Saurabh’s six-year-old daughter who said, ‘Papa is in the drum.’ Spirituality offers a path to redemption, while mental health support provides the tools to heal. Together, they can prevent such horrors and build a compassionate world.”

As a psychologist and spiritual advocate, Tyagi champions the transformative power of these disciplines. “Spirituality nurtures resilience, compassion, and a sense of purpose—qualities that disarm destructive impulses like anger or greed,” he explains. “Mental health care—through counseling, awareness, and therapy—addresses trauma and addiction, preventing the unraveling of minds like Muskaan’s, clouded by drugs and manipulation.” He envisions a society where these principles reduce crime by fostering empathy, heal families by restoring trust, and make the world safer and more joyful for future generations.

Tyagi urges the government to act decisively: establish nationwide helplines, subsidize therapy, integrate mindfulness into education, and support survivors of violence. “By blending spiritual wisdom with mental health resources, we can uproot the causes of crime and cultivate a culture of peace,” he asserts. This aligns with Go Spiritual’s campaign against toxic digital content, which he believes erodes societal values.

Go Spiritual, the spiritual arm of Approach Entertainment Group, leverages platforms like Go Spiritual News Magazine and upcoming Web TV and OTT services to spread this vision. Tyagi calls for collaboration with policymakers, experts, and spiritual leaders to create a holistic framework. His work as an award-winning filmmaker, including Two Great Masters, and leadership of Approach Entertainment—recipient of the Biz India 2010 Award—bolster his advocacy.

The Meerut case, with Muskaan and Sahil in custody, reflects India’s broader struggles. Tyagi’s article highlights its ripple effects—grief, trauma, and moral decay—and positions spirituality and mental health as antidotes. “These tools can heal individuals, uplift communities, and transform the world into a sanctuary of light,” he concludes. “The government must lead this change, and we stand ready to help.”

Sonu Tyagi is an award-winning writer, director, producer, and the visionary founder of Go Spiritual and Approach Entertainment Group. A deeply spiritual individual with a degree in Psychology, Tyagi has enriched his expertise with professional courses in Advertising Management, Journalism, and Filmmaking. Before establishing Approach Entertainment in 2004, he honed his skills with leading advertising agencies and media houses in India. His recent work as co-producer of the acclaimed spiritual web series Two Great Masters reflects his dedication to meaningful storytelling, while he continues to develop new film and web series projects that elevate the creative landscape. Dr Chandrashekhara S, President of IRA (Indian Rheumatology Association) said that the way we see, treat, or manage patients of autoimmune arthritis has changed. The concept itself has changed over the last twenty-five years. We now have choices with more than 40 to 50 drugs. Which one to give, when to give, how much to give, there is a lot of research that goes on. Therefore guidance and recommendations are key. The disease itself is complex and affects different persons differently. Hence apart from moral support and information patient support groups will have a larger role to play. Dr. Chandrashekara pointed out two areas the first being research where advocacy groups, associations, and societies can help create funds for research which can be useful for the medical fraternity and can change the perspectives of treatment and management. Secondly, referring to the Western world, he said that patient groups need to push themselves to be a part of advocacy in terms of creating some guidelines. Patient support groups should also play an active role in presenting various issues like insurance to the Government and other policy-making bodies.

Addressing the patients, he said that arthritis keeps coming but your spirits should not die with it. When we start walking fall is inevitable, we should get up and get walking, and when we look at it from this perspective things change

Dr. Kiran Seth, Senior Consultant Rheumatologist, Delhi said that every human being has the power to fight the disease but also to create an environment where they can inspire others to fight it. The patient support group for arthritis provides emotional support, a sense of belongingness, understanding others’ similar concerns in a nonjudgemental environment, sharing experiences, and information, and making all understand that they are not alone. This helps in empowering the patients and helps them make informed decisions.Dr.Arvind Chopra Director and Chief Rheumatologist Center for Rheumatoid Diseases (CRD) said that if we want to create awareness about bone and joints at every level, we need people who can be a bridge between doctors and patients. Exploring the Gates Foundation and Sachin Tendulkar Foundation’s Partnership for India’s Future

The climax of the videos of Sachin Tendulkar and Bill Gates having vada pav and bonding over Crennis has been revealed with a partnership of the Gates Foundation and Sachin Tendulkar Foundation to jointly champion the holistic development of children as true Partners in Progress. The journey kicked off with a teaser that had everyone talking: a viral video of Bill Gates and Sachin Tendulkar enjoying Mumbai’s beloved street food, vada pav, captioned “A snack break before we get to work” and ending with a tantalizing “Serving soon.” Gates, on his third visit to India in as many years to mark the Gates Foundation’s 25th anniversary, hinted at something big brewing between the two foundations. The lighthearted moment showcased their camaraderie and set the stage for what was to come.

Next, the duo took to a tennis court for a playful twist—a game of “Crennis,” blending cricket and tennis. In the video, Gates prepares to serve a tennis ball, only to be stumped as Tendulkar adopts a cricketer’s batting stance. “I thought we were playing tennis,” Gates quips, to which Tendulkar replies, “Bill, I said ‘Crennis’—a little bit of cricket, a little bit of tennis.” The clip, which ends with the two sharing vada pav and Tendulkar declaring, “Sport teaches us teamwork, life demands the same,” subtly nodded to their upcoming collaboration. Tendulkar’s caption added fuel to the excitement: “Crennis was fun, but the real action is brewing with Sachin Tendulkar Foundation & Gates Foundation.”

The grand reveal with a video of Bill Gates, Sachin Tendulkar, and Dr. Anjali Tendulkar exchanging jerseys to commemorate the formal partnership between STF and GF. • The NSE CEO’s Appeal for More Companies to List

PUNE: “One of the biggest challenges entrepreneurs face is funding and succession planning. To overcome these problems and convert the income into wealth, NSE listing could help. So companies should come forward for listing at BSE”, opined Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD & CEO of National Stock Exchange of India while speaking at the Annual Awards Function organized by the Deccan Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (DCCIA) at Hotel Sheraton Grand yesterday. Rathin Sinha – Chairman, H. P. Srivastava – Vice Chairman, Vasudeo Malu – Secretary,  Prakash Dhoka Treasurer, Yogesh Vaghani  & Bibhu Prasad – members of the Executive Committee were also present on the occasion.

Ashish Kumar Chauhan said, “Entrepreneurs face multiple challenges, and the concerned parties including the employees and vendors at times stay indifferent to these problems. Entrepreneurs can be described as writers, directors, producers, and lead characters of their movies, and sometimes they happen to be only spectators. In 1995-1996, small and medium-sized companies were allowed to raise funds from the stock market. However, since many of these companies disappeared later, it had to be stopped. Again, in the year 2012, it was reintroduced with strict  regulations to enable SMEs to raise funds from the markets.”

“In business,  succession planning becomes easier with the listing of the company on the stock exchange. When the rest of the world is doing so why India should not do it? Indian businesses now are very different from the way it was in the past. Signing a share certificate is similar to signing a currency note,  so with a listing of the Company on the stock exchange comes the big responsibility“, he added.

In their joint address to the gathering, Rathin Sinha highlighted that for the next year the focus of DCCIA will be on cleanliness drives and traffic management for solving the traffic woes on Pune  Nagar Road.

In his address, H. P. Srivastava recalled the journey of the Chamber over 30 years and expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to all stakeholders. We aim to make this Industrial Belt a preferred investment destination. If we have to make India a 5 trillion economy, Maharashtra needs to contribute by being a Trillion economy. To be there, we have to ensure that there is “Ease of Business” for every Industry. With the operationalization of the Maharashtra Trade & Investment Act 2023 through the ‘Maitri’ portal, it should soon be a reality. Further, the Government of Maharashtra will soon announce its New Industrial Policy for which DCCIA too has given several suggestions. It should also give a major boost to Industry, he added.

The DCCIA lifetime achievement award was presented to Vishal Makar, Managing Director of the Oriental Rubber Industries

The DCCIA Best Industrialist Award for 2024 was given to Dr Sudhir Mehta, Founder & Chairman of  Pinnacle Industries Limited & Eka Mobility Limited. Many other awards for different categories were also presented on the occasion.

There’s a special kind of thrill in being the first — posting a photo that stops your followers mid-scroll, standing where the footprints are few, or tasting something that hasn’t yet been endlessly hashtagged.

Millions have snapped the world’s most famous landmarks and queued for the same trending restaurants, but Saudi, the Land of Firsts, offers a chance to uncover untold stories, untouched landscapes, and adventures no one else can claim.

From shimmering coasts to ancient traditions, the Saudi Red Sea from Jeddah to the Red Sea Resorts, as well as the mountainous areas of the Aseer region invites you to carve your path. Be among the first to answer this land’s call — because experiences this extraordinary won’t stay secret for long. Here’s how to make the most of your visit to the Saudi Red Sea region.

Day 1: Explore Jeddah’s fascinating history

Check in to one of Historic Jeddah’s traditional houses

In Jeddah’s UNESCO-listed Historic Jeddah district, daily life continues as it has for centuries among cobbled alleyways and weathered coral-stone buildings. Check into one of the area’s newly unveiled boutique hotels – Beit Jokhdar, Beit Al Rayess, or Beit Kedwan – the first luxurious stays of their kind. Each former family home has been painstakingly restored by local craftsmen, with hand-carved wooden details, traditional rawasheen window lattices, and materials sourced from the bustling souqs of Jeddah.

Unearth old Jeddah’s authentic history guided by Saudi experts

After checking in to your new home away from home, step out into Historic Jeddah’s labyrinthine streets, now fully open to curious explorers following an extensive program of restoration. A walk with a local expert guide – many of whom grew up in the area and still have family businesses tucked among the maze of streets – takes you past intricate merchant houses, souqs brimming with the scent of oud and spices, quiet corners, and secret spots.

Feast on the freshest fish straight from the Saudi Red Sea

As the sun dips below the horizon, make your way to Al Basli, a seafood restaurant that’s one of the oldest in the city and a local institution. Here, the Saudi Red Sea takes center stage with grilled fish pulled fresh from its waters, smoky flavors that reflect generations of culinary tradition, and a sense of warmth that feels distinctly local.

Day 2: Sleep among the dunes in five-star luxury

Discover the desert dunes like never before

A five-hour drive north from Jeddah along the Saudi Red Sea coastline – or a short flight into Red Sea International Airport, Six Senses Southern Dunes is one of the first luxury retreats of its kind in this historic region, offering a reimagined connection to the country’s ancient landscapes. Villas echo desert rock formations with generous shaded courtyards and interiors that mix earthy textures with opulent touches. From your private terrace, gaze out at the mountains, their silhouettes shimmering in the morning light. Alternatively, stay at the newest hotel to open in the region, Desert Rock, set where mountains meet the desert, with villas that merge seamlessly into the ancient rocky landscapes.

Stay in Saudi’s pioneering overwater resorts

Just a 20-minute drive from the Six Senses, the Saudi Red Sea’s overwater resorts are a brand-new concept in the country, making your visit a rare opportunity to be among the first to experience this untouched marine wonderland. Shebara is suspended above shimmering turquoise waters, with its orb-like villas mirroring the fluidity of the ocean. Step out onto your private deck for views of brilliant blue skies melting into endless horizons.

Day 3: Swim in crystal clear waters

Explore untouched coral reefs in the Saudi Red SeaDon a snorkel or climb into a kayak to explore coral reefs so vivid they seem almost otherworldly, teeming with marine life that dart and shimmer like jewels in the sunlight. Paddle through hidden lagoons and drift past underwater gardens for an intimate encounter with a natural world that feels so untouched you might well be the first to discover its secrets.

Day 4: Discover cuisine and culture in the mountainous Abha region

    Cook your meal Aseeri style

After a quick flight via Jeddah to the rocky southern region of Abha, gather around an underground clay oven as a local chef carefully prepares traditional haneeth by marinating spiced meat in glowing embers and sealing it beneath layers of hot sand. The slow roasting creates a tenderness so perfect it melts on your tongue.

Meet the Flower Men and wear a crown made from blooms

Nearby in the lush mountain highlands of Aseer, discover the unique ancient heritage of the Flower Men. Adorning their heads with vibrant garlands of marigolds, jasmine, and basil, these crowns are more than just striking accessories — they carry more than 2,000 years of history.

Return to Jeddah and end your trip with a walk on the Waterfront and watch the tallest fountain in the world pierce the sky, the King Fahd Fountain. Afterwards take an evening wander among the food stalls, cafés, and restaurants brimming with delicious snacks.
