India-UAE joint military exercise Desert Cyclone begins in Rajasthan
2 min readThe UAE Land Forces contingent comprising 45 personnel arrived in India to take part in the primary version of the joint bilateral military train ‘Desert Cyclone’.
The train is scheduled to be carried out in Mahajan, Rajasthan, from January 2 to January 15.
The UAE contingent is being represented by troops from the Zayed First Brigade.
“The Indian Army contingent comprising 45 personnel is being represented primarily by a Battalion from the Mechanised Infantry Regiment,” learn an announcement issued by the Indian authorities.
The Exercise goals to boost interoperability in Sub-conventional Operations, together with Fighting in Built-Up Area (FIBUA) in desert/ semi desert terrain beneath Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter on Peace Keeping Operations.
The train will improve cooperation and interoperability between either side throughout Peace Keeping Operations.
“Drills deliberate to be rehearsed throughout Exercise ‘Desert Cyclone’ embrace the Establishment of a Joint Surveillance Centre, Cordon and Search Operation, Domination of Built-Up Area and Heliborne Operations. The Exercise can even foster collaborative partnership and assist in sharing greatest practices between the 2 sides,” the assertion stated
Exercise ‘Desert Cyclone’ signifies additional strengthening of bonds of friendship and belief between India and the UAE. The Exercise goals to attain shared safety aims and foster bilateral relations between two pleasant nations.
