Indian law students to get internship placements in Singapore as NLSIU signs MoU with Singapore International Arbitration Centre
2 min readStudents of National Law School of India University, Bangalore, will now get internship placements on the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) after the 2 our bodies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
As per an official news release, the MoU was signed on January 5, 2024, by Gloria Lim, Chief Executive Officer of SIAC, and Prof (Dr) Sudhir Krishnaswamy, Vice Chancellor, NLSIU, in a digital ceremony.
The signing was attended by Shwetha Bidhuri, Director & Head (South Asia), SIAC, Steffi Mary Punnose, Strategy & Development Manager (South Asia), SIAC, Prof. (Dr.) Nigam Nuggehalli, Registrar, NLSIU and Dr Harisankar Okay. Sathyapalan, Associate Professor of Law & Chair Professor-in-Charge of the DC Singhania Chair on ADR at NLSIU.
NLSIU’s law programme to embody module on SIAC and Institutional Arbitration
Under the brand new bond, SIAC and NLSIU will work collectively to place NLSIU law students in internships at SIAC and collaborate to incorporate a module on “SIAC and Institutional Arbitration” into NLSIU’s law programme.
