Expressing solidarity with the people of the area, Modi posted on X: “Deeply saddened by the loss of lives as a result of earthquakes in Taiwan immediately. Our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved households and needs for a speedy restoration to the injured. We stand in solidarity with the resilient people of Taiwan as they endure the aftermath and get better from it.”

Outgoing Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen and President-elect Lai Ching-Te expressed gratitude to Modi for his assist to the people.
