Laos becomes first nation in the world to unveil postage stamp dedicated to Ayodhya’s Ram Lalla
1 min readExternal Affairs Minister S Jaishankar recently released a special commemorative stamp showcasing the Ram Lalla statue in Ayodhya during his visit to Laos.
Laos became the first nation in the world to dedicate a stamp set on the Ram Lalla statue whose consecration ceremony was held in January in the north Indian city of Ayodhya, which holds a mythological importance due to its association with Lord Ram.
Revealing the stamp, Jaishankar posted on X: “A good meeting with DPM and FM Saleumxay Kommasith of Lao PDR. Thanked him for the warm hospitality.”
“Witnessed exchange of MoUs on 10 Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) for Laos under Mekong Ganga Cooperation and cooperation in sharing successful Digital Solutions,” Jaishankar said.
“Launched a special stamp set celebrating our shared cultural treasures of Ramayana and Buddhism,” he said.
Jaishankar visited the country to attend the Foreign Ministers’ Meetings under the ASEAN union.
Jaishankar is currently visiting Tokyo to attend the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting.
