Narendra Modi, visiting Abu Dhabi Crown Prince discuss future areas of cooperation in New Delhi
2 min readPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday received Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Hyderabad House when they discussed bilateral relations and future areas of cooperation between the two nations.
Speaking of the meeting, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal posted on X: “PM @narendramodi received HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi at Hyderabad House.”
“Discussions on the entire spectrum of – bilateral relations and future areas of cooperation lie ahead,” he said.
The Abu Dhabi leader arrived in India on Sunday with a high-level ministerial and business delegation.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal received him at the airport.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is paying an official visit to India on September 9-10.
This would be the first visit of the leader as the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Apart from meeting Modi, he is scheduled to meet Indian President Droupadi Murmu.
“On 10 September, His Highness will visit Mumbai to participate in a Business Forum, in which business leaders from both countries will participate,” read a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs.
MEA said India and UAE share historically close and friendly ties.
“In recent years, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and UAE has deepened in a wide range of areas including political, trade, investment, connectivity, energy, technology, education, and culture,” the Indian government said in the statement.
“The Crown Prince’s visit will further reinforce strong India-UAE bilateral relations and open avenues for partnership in new and emerging areas,” read the statement.
