In a main declare, the South Korean army stated that its North Korean counterparts fired a number of short-range ballistic missiles towards the East Sea on Monday (March 18, 2024).

According to South Korea media, the KN-24 is a solid-fuel ballistic missile with a variety of as much as 410 km and a payload of 400-500 kg.

The South Korean army advised Yonhap it instantly detected and tracked the missiles, and shared the data with the US and Japanese authorities, whereas a complete evaluation is underway.

“We strongly condemn North Korea’s newest missile launch, which is a transparent provocation that severely threatens peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula,” the JCS stated.

The newest missile was launched only a month after North Korea fired a brand new surface-to-sea cruise missile named Padasuri-6 from its east coast on February 14.
