US: Department store chain Macy’s to lay-off 2,350 employees, close five stores

US division store chain Macy’s is shedding round 3.5 % of its workforce and even planning to shut down five of its stores.

The 3.5 % is probably going to hit 2,350 jobs.

“As we put together to deploy a brand new technique to meet the wants of an ever-changing client and market, we made the tough choice to scale back our workforce by 3.5% to turn into a extra streamlined firm,” a Macy’s spokesperson advised CNN.
