US destroys Houthi surface-to-air missile that posed imminent threat to American aircraft

“Jan. 31 at roughly 3:30 p.m. (Sanaa time), USCENTCOM forces struck and destroyed a Houthi surface-to-air missile ready to launch,” US CENTCOM stated in an announcement.

“U.S. forces recognized the missile in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen and decided that it introduced an imminent threat to U.S. plane,” the assertion stated.

The US stated one other anti-ship ballistic missile shot from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen was additionally destroyed.
