WATCH: Tarmac turns into battleground for intense snake-mongoose showdown in eastern India
1 min readThe tarmac at Patna Airport in the eastern Indian state of Bihar played the perfect host for an intense showdown between archrivals- a snake and mongoose.
An undated video of the encounter has now gone viral on the Internet.
The clip showed the mongoose and the snake lunging at each other, the former to hunt the latter and the reptile to save itself from the relentless attack.

The snake was likely to be a cobra, as it flared its hood while trying to strike its attacker.
While no clear winner emerged from the contest, as the video ended abruptly, the mongoose was joined by two others from the sidelines, while the reptile fought along, trying to save its life.
