ABSLI launches dividend yield fund for ULIP investors
2 min readAditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Ltd introduced its Dividend Yield Fund on November 6, 2025, available exclusively for unit-linked insurance plans. The fund will remain open for subscription at a net asset value (NAV) of ₹10 per unit until November 20, 2025.
This investment vehicle targets long-term capital appreciation by focusing on companies with robust dividend payouts. It provides exposure of up to 100% to equities, allocating a minimum of 75% of assets to equity instruments of dividend-yielding firms. The portfolio strategy includes 80-100% equity investments, complemented by up to 20% in debt securities, money market instruments, and cash equivalents.
The fund is accessible through ABSLI’s Wealth Infinia Plan, Vision Retirement Solution, and Nischit Wealth Solution. It follows an active management approach using bottom-up analysis to identify fundamentally sound companies with consistent dividend distribution histories.
“This offering caters to policyholders pursuing stability combined with growth potential through established dividend-paying corporations,” stated Kamlesh Rao, MD and CEO of the company. The fund seeks to optimize the balance between capital protection and financial performance while supporting investors’ extended financial objectives.
ABSLI, formed through a partnership between Aditya Birla Group (51% stake) and Sun Life Financial Inc. (49% stake), reported ₹104,492 crore in total assets under management as of September 30, 2025. With operations spanning 440+ branches nationally, the insurer currently serves over 28.64 lakh active customers.
