Bank of India (BoI) secured ₹10,000 crore through infrastructure bonds on Tuesday, priced at a 7.23% coupon rate to bolster long-term financing initiatives.

The state-owned lender disclosed a base offering of ₹5,000 crore supplemented by an equivalent green shoe option, both fully subscribed during the issuance.

Bidding activity on the NSE platform reached ₹15,305 crore across 83 bids, with BoI ultimately accepting 37 bids totaling its targeted ₹10,000 crore fundraising goal.

Proceeds will finance infrastructure development and affordable housing projects per RBI regulations, though officials clarified funds won’t be earmarked for any specific venture.
