IndusInd Bank has refuted reports indicating discussions about onboarding a strategic partner. The bank stated, “There is no discussion of this nature underway with anyone in the bank.”

Earlier reports from the Economic Times suggested that the UK-based Hinduja Group, the largest stakeholder in the lender, was seeking a strategic partner with global expertise to acquire a minority stake. The claims were attributed to Ashok Hinduja, chairman of IndusInd International Holdings.

Last month, the bank’s CEO expressed expectations to grow at par with India’s banking sector in the coming year, following operational restructuring and resolution of past accounting concerns.
