ESAF Small Finance Bank crosses Rs 50,000 crore business milestone

For the March‑2026 quarter, ESAF Small Finance Bank posted a net profit of Rs 24 crore, turning a prior‑year loss into profit, while income and operating profit also improved
ESAF Small Finance Bank announced on Friday that its total business has surpassed the Rs 50,000‑crore mark.
As of June 11, the bank’s deposits amounted to Rs 26,197 crore, while gross advances stood at Rs 23,832 crore.
“We wish to inform that the total business (aggregate of deposits and advances) of ESAF Small Finance Bank Ltd has crossed Rs 50,000 crore as on June 11, 2026,” the bank said in a regulatory filing.
For the quarter ended March 2026, ESAF Small Finance Bank reported a net profit of Rs 24 crore, compared with a loss of Rs 183 crore in the same period last year.
Total income rose to Rs 1,196 crore in the quarter, up from Rs 1,037 crore in January‑March FY25.
Interest income increased to Rs 995 crore during the quarter, versus Rs 892 crore a year earlier.
Operating profit also improved, reaching Rs 241 crore against Rs 91 crore in Q4 FY25.
On the asset‑quality front, gross non‑performing assets fell to 5.41 % of gross advances as of March 31 2026, down from 6.87 % at the end of March 2025; net NPAs eased to 1.77 % from 2.99 %.
